I am a virgin, 21 and have been talking to a guy I met on bumble for two months. We sadly did not get to meet before I left for the summer, however I will be back in September. We talk off and on and also sexting every once in a while, but I'm worried to bring up I am a virgin to him as he is 5 years older than me. So far we do plan to meet when I get back, but I'm just not sure how to tell him I am, as I do want to have sex. Any advice?

You definitely do need to tell him! Don’t by any means put it off and not tell him, it’s extremely important the person you’re going to be with knows you’re a virgin. They’ll be able to be much easier on you, softer and actually make your first time a hopefully enjoyable experience. It would really suck if you didn’t tell him and he went crazy hard and ended up hurting you, it would warp how you view sex you know?

Sometimes there isn’t always a best time to say things, sometimes you just have to take your best opportunity and tell the person straight up. It’s always better to be honest and real with someone, especially about something like this. Tell him that you’re a little nervous to tell him, but you’re a virgin and you felt like he needed to know before things went any further.

If he’s a good man and actually deserves your time and attention, he’ll treat you the way you deserve and be gentle and make your first time a good one. If he can’t handle the fact that you’re a vigin, he isn’t even worth two minutes of your time and you’re much better off saving yourself for someone who would actually appreciate the gift you want to give them.
